You don't need to be a genius or an empath to realize that people are suffering with a lot of stress right now.
It can be especially hard for authors to keep plugging away if we've found our schedules disrupted or our futures thrown into chaos.
Sometimes writing is hard and we just get through it, but sometimes we're really, truly, and literally blocked creatively.
(By the way, if you don't believe there is such a thing as writer's block, today's video probably isn't for you, and that's just fine!)
The biggest reason I can't snap my fingers and cure your writer's block (or sometimes even my own!) is that there are various types of writer's block. Today's video is all about diagnosis your specific type of block. Are you tired? Discouraged? Afraid of success? Afraid of failure?
Or are you literally and in all other ways completely drained?
- There's no one specific cause of writer's block.
- One of the easiest types of writer's block to treat is when you just don't know where to go next in your story. Take a break, and the answer will come to you!
- Sometimes you'll need to use your intuition to know if it's time to work through your block or slow down and take it easy.
To your success!
